Cause and Effect

Yes, bathtime has moved back into the kitchen, since Mommy finds it harder and harder to get up and down off the floor. Last time, though, little E couldn't reach the faucet. Now, it is a source of constant entertainment as she watches what happens as she moves the lever up and down. She moves the faucet head around, too, and even tried to take a drink from the tap. All was going well until she poured too much cold water into her bath...

This was a rare daytime bath, but necessary because Elizabeth had smeared a very messy lunch into her hair (avocado and hummus - yum!).

Elizabeth Tries Her Flippers

It took some getting used to, but Elizabeth appears to like being in the water. Here she is, cooling off in Grandma's pool in Hanford, CA.

On the Go

I think we can safely say that E has officially reached toddler-hood. She's walking - sometimes very quickly - and developing other skills as well, including speech (we still can't tell what she's saying most of the time) and puzzle solving/object sorting. There are more bumps and bruises, but the overall outcome is that she's learning lots about her world...and also learning how to push the limits.

Good-bye sweet baby; hello headstrong little girl!
