At the Park

I don't have many "action" shots of Elizabeth at the park, but she did sit still here, at a park in nearby Angels Camp. We were on a long weekend up in Copperopolis, and this is the next town over, which has a wonderful playground for the kiddies. And I must say, the kids up in Angels are much nicer than the kids in Piedmont, who usually run right over E or take her toys. It was a nice change of pace and E had a wonderful time playing, even when she went down a surprisingly long slide (about 12' up)!

Happy Times

Helen is feeling a bit under the weather today, which is not obvious from the above photograph (which was taken a couple weekends ago). Poor Helen: she's had her first real fever and has just been miserable. I wish there was more I could do to comfort her, but right now, sleep is the best medicine.

Caged

Helen is crawling and pulling herself up all over the place. She's learned to clap her hands this week, and I think that she is waving, but it's hard to tell if she's just trying to clap with one hand :) She has several teeth now, although we are waiting for that last front tooth to come all the way in -- it finally capped this week. So she has four teeth on top and two on the bottom.

We tried keeping her in the baby corral, but that didn't last long, since she wanted to be out of the pen and Elizabeth wanted to be in. So the corral has been moved downstairs for use during backyard outings.

Wink, wink...

Elizabeth plays dress-up and we capture it on camera. I think we took this a week or so ago, but it's been crazy around here, so we're just getting around to posting. Elizabeth continues to work on her numbers and letters. She still loves to read with Mommy, and even recognizes a couple of small words (I think). But she's not just an intellectual; she still loves dancing to Billie Holiday and Frank Sinatra, especially when Mommy sings along.
